Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University is state public agriculture university located in Hyderabad Andhra Pradesh. It’s also known as ANGRAU. Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University on November 7th 1996 in honour and memory of an outstanding Parliamentarian Acharya N.G. Ranga, who rendered remarkable selfless service for the cause of farmers and is regarded as an outstanding educationist, kisan leader and Indian freedom fighter. In the Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University has five Hostels functioning under the College to self-boarding and lodging facility for the aspirants of the College.The university has a central library building with a carpet area accommodate over 2 lakhs books and sitting capacity of about 200 readers. In the university have Separate library buildings and functional halls are available at other branch libraries. A Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS) of the University is situated in each of the nine identified agro-climatic zones of the State with a total number of 67 Research places all over the state.
