Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC)
The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC)was established on 1 st November 1956 under Article 315 of the constitution of India with the formation of the State of Andhra Pradesh. The APPSC was formally known as the Andhra Service Commission which is based on the regulations of Madras Public Service Commission. APPSC has come into existence only in 1953 after the bifurcation of composite Madras State into Andhra and Madras States. On the eve of formation of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has started their functioning under with a Chairman and two Members and Hyderabad Public Service Commission was functioning with one Member. Hence, APPSC was constituted with a Chairman and three Members. With increasing workload, Government enhanced the strength of the public Commission to Chairman and 5 Members in the year 1981 and later to Chairman and seven Members in the year 1983. The AP government again reviewed the strength in 1994 and enhanced it to Chairman and 9 Members. This is the present strength also. The functions of the service commission are numbered in the Article 320 of the Constitution. The statutory functions of the Commission are as follows: - Direct Recruitment, Recruitment by transfer Statutory rules relating to services, Disciplinary cases regulations Reimbursement of legal expenses, Wound and extraordinary pension cases. In addition, the Service Commission is entrusted with the following items of work: Conduct of departmental tests for several departments Conduct of examination for admission to RIMC, Dehradun. Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission Admit Card
Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has released notification for specific post/posts and invites applications from eligible aspirants in the first place. Then it releases admit card/hall ticket for exam whichever it has decided to hold.
