Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) is the reputed council of higher education in Andhra PAredsh.it was established on 20th May 1988 by State Legislature to promote Higher Education in the State and foresee the development of the same for years to come. Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education has formally known as APSCHE. APSCHE was set up as per the recommendations of the National Education Policy- 1986 and acts as a coordinating body between Government and the UGC (University Grants Commission) at the more time works for the development of education system in the State with perspective preparation. That’s a common function of the Council to coordinate and determine standards in institutions of Higher Education, Research, and Scientific and Technical Education, Institutions in accordance with the guidelines under the UGC from time to time updated. The Andhra Pradesh Act 16 of 1988 envisages three distinct functions as a Planning and Coordination, Academic Functions, Advisory Functions.
