Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University is an eminent Architectural and Arts University, located on Masab Tank Hyderabad, Telangana. It’s formally known as JNAFAU or JNA & FA. JNAFAU has gradually established on October 1972. Its establishment also promotes the networking between academic and industrial environments which simultaneously fosters meaningful academic growth and contributes to overall social and economic development of all involved. JNAFAU has officially accredited and affiliated by UGC (University Grant Commission). The JNAFAU has gradually grew in stature as the Government College of Arts and Architecture under the management of the Department of Technical Education, Government of Telangana, and Hyderabad. JNAFAU is one of its own kind in the entire country as it is exclusively devoted for the development of Applied Art, Painting, Sculpture, Photography and Animation. Not only has this but also served the art education needs of three regions - Andhra, Telangana and Rayalaseema. JNAFAU owes its existence to the College of Fine Arts which was established in the erstwhile Nizam State in the year 1940. , it was merged with the University and became a Constituent College of the University. By 2008-2009, the division of the university in 4 separate institutes - JNTU Ananthapur, JNTU Kakinada, JNTU Kukatpally, Hyderabad JNA & FA University, Masab Tank, Hyderabad; the constituent college required the new status with its headquarters at Mahavir Marg, Masab Tank, Hyderabad.
