Mahatma Gandhi University was established in the year 2007 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh (GOAP) through GO Ms no 19 of the Education Department, located in Nalgonda the city of Andhra Pradesh. It is a one State University established to serve the needs of Nalgonda district people in accordance with the aim of expanding the higher educational opportunities in rural areas. It’s the procedure of acquiring a land area of 250 acres for the construction of University building campuses. The jurisdiction of the MG University is over the entire Nalgonda District. Nalgonda city is the center of the Nalgonda district and well connected by Rail and Roadways. The main purpose of a university is to achieve and sustain excellence in the area of teaching and research so that its fruits can be best availed by the people of this region.
