About North Eastern Hill University
North-Eastern Hill University is also known as the NEHU. North-Eastern Hill University was established on 19th July 1973. It is situated in Umshing Mawkynroh, Shillong, State Meghalaya. The objectives of the NEHU shall be to disseminate and advance knowledge by providing instructional and research facilities in such branches of learning as it may deem fit; to pay special attention to the improvement of the social and economic conditions and welfare of the people of the hill areas of the North-Eastern region, and, in particular, their intellectual, academic and cultural advancement.

NEHU Shillong Admission 2019
Eligibility criteria for the UG Courses the student must have passed 12th (10+2) examination with minimum 50% marks for general and 45% marks for SC/ST candidates for admission to North Eastern Hill University, Shillong.
Eligibility criteria for the PG course the student must have a Bachelor's Degree with Major in any subject securing an aggregate of 50% marks and relaxable by 5% for SC/ST or General Pass securing an aggregate of 55% marks and relaxable by 5% for SC/ST.
Application Form
Applications will be invited by North-Eastern Hill University for admission to various UG Namely B.A, B.Phil, B.Com, B.Sc, B.Ed, B.Lib.SC and PG courses namely M.A, M.Phil, M.Com, Ph.D., M.Sc, M.Ed, M.Lib.SC, LLM etc for the academic session 2019. Students want to admission to any of the above-said courses must apply as per prescribed schedule.
Students, interested in applying for NEHU UG/PG admission 2019, are required to apply through online mode from the official web portal of University i.e. http://www.nehu.ac.in/. and you’ll have to make payment of Rs.220/- as application fee by using Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking. However, if you belong to ST/SC category then this amount is Rs.110/-.
