About University of Patanjali

The name of Patanjali University (UOP) is named after the great Indian sage Patanjali (c. 900 BC), who compiled several articles on Yoga as an aphorism for the first time. This was established on 05.04.2006 through the Act No. 4/2006 of Uttarakhand State Legislature issued in the State Gazette. The University is sponsored by PYP (Patanjali Yogpeeth Trust) and is situated on Delhi National Highway on Haridwar by Ganga at Bhardabd of Haridwar. It is a member of the Association of Indian Universities.

Patanjali University is located in Haridwar, North India and was established in the year 2006. The University is accredited by the UGC and published in the Gazette of Uttaranchal Government. It provides knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of yoga. Patanjali University offers various options for students to choose between a certificate, UG, PG, diploma and PhD courses. There is a certificate course in Yoga medicine, five UG courses in UG, three courses in PGD, ten courses in PG and a course under PhD. The college accepts at least 10 students in each course.
