Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), Tirupati Andhra Pradesh is highly renowned medical college, located in Tirupati. The main objective of SVIMS is to offer education, training and service in the advanced medical sciences as well as technology. In the past two decades, Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) has seen a extraordinary growth in health care services and academic research. SVIMS is recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) and since 2003 this college is offering courses on MD, McH and DM. In the year 2006, the Government of India included this college as one of the institutions for up gradation at par with AIIMS, New Delhi under the scheme known as Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY).
