BHEL Artisan Exam Date 2025 Out (NEW)

The BHEL Artisan computer-based test is scheduled for 12th January 2026 (Monday), held in a single session from 9:00 am to 10:30 am. BHEL Artisan Vacancy 2025

BHEL is recruiting for 515 positions across various trades, including Machinist, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Fitter, Welder, Turner, and Foundryman. BHEL Artisan Eligibility Criteria 2025

To be eligible for BHEL Recruitment 2025, applicants must have completed Class 10 and possess both a National Trade Certificate (NTC) and a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in their respective trades. Specific age and educational requirements are outlined in the recruitment notice.

Educational Qualification

• Class 10 + NTC (National Trade Certificate/ITI) + NAC (National Apprenticeship Certificate) in the relevant trade
• Minimum marks required in NTC & NAC

1. General & OBC: 60% in both NTC and NAC

• OBC (NCL): 30 years

BHEL Artisan Selection Process 2025

The selection process for BHEL Recruitment 2025, as defined in the official notification, consists of a Computer-Based Examination followed by a Skill Test and Document Verification.

Computer-Based Exam (CBE)

The Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be offered in multiple languages, including Hindi, English, Kannada, Telugu, or Tamil, depending on the candidate's selection (note: this does not apply to Foundryman and Electronics Mechanic roles).

• All candidates must appear for an online exam in their trade.
• Based on scores, candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio for the Skill Test.

Skill Test & Document Verification

• Shortlisted candidates must appear for Document Verification and Skill Test.
• Skill Test is a qualifying test in nature.

The final selection is strictly based on the performance in the computer-based examination. Successful candidates must commit to a minimum 20-year service tenure at their assigned work unit.

Medical Standards

• Selected candidates will undergo a medical examination by the company’s authorized officer.
• An appointment depends on meeting the company’s health standards.
• There will be no relaxation in medical standards is allowed.
• Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates must submit a self-attested medical certificate showing their disability from a government hospital or medical board linked to the Special Employment Exchange for the handicapped.

BHEL Artisan Exam Pattern 2025

The BHEL Artisan examination features 120 objective-type multiple-choice questions. To accommodate candidates, the question paper will be available in English, Hindi, and a relevant vernacular language (excluding Foundryman and Electronics Mechanic trades).

• Each correct answer gives you 1 mark.
• 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect attempt.
• The duration of the examination is 90 minutes.

Candidates who achieved 'Best Apprentice' or 'Runner-up' status in All India Skill Competitions conducted by the Directorate General of Employment and Training are exempt from the Computer-Based Test. These candidates will be directly invited for the Skill Test, provided they meet all other eligibility criteria.

BHEL Artisan Salary 2025

Artisans recruited by BHEL will receive a competitive salary package ranging from Rs. 29,500 to Rs. 65,000. New hires will initially be appointed as temporary employees for a one-year probation period, receiving a fixed salary as per corporate policy, before transitioning into the permanent Artisan Grade-IV role.
