The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the comprehensive vacancy distribution for the BPSC TRE 4.0 Exam 2026. The positions are divided among Primary Teachers (Classes 1 to 5), Middle School Teachers (Classes 6 to 8), Secondary Teachers (Classes 9-10), and Senior Secondary Teachers (Classes 11-12) under the Education Department and the Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department in Bihar.

Bihar BPSC Teacher Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants must fulfill all eligibility parameters for the BPSC TRE 4.0 Vacancy 2026 to successfully apply online. Please note that failing to meet the required eligibility criteria at any stage of the recruitment process will result in the immediate rejection of the application form.

Bihar Teacher Educational Qualification for Primary Teachers (Class 1 to 5)

• Candidates must have completed their senior secondary examination/ 12th (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. (OR)
• Candidates must have completed their senior secondary examination/ 12th (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 04 year Bachelor of Elementry Education (B.EI.ED)
• Candidates must have passed 12th (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appeared in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. (OR )
• Graduation with 50 % Marks and 2-year Diploma in Early Education/Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)/B.Ed Special education.

Bihar Teacher Educational Qualification for Middle School Teachers (Class 6 to 8)

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc/B.A/B.Com) with a minimum of 45% marks, along with a senior secondary qualification or B.Ed with at least 50% marks, and must have qualified the CTET or Bihar TET exam. • The Bihar Teacher Examination will consist of 03 papers. Paper 1 for Language paper, Paper 2 for general studies, and Paper 3 from the subject chosen by the candidates.
• The exam will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions.
• A total of 150 questions will be asked from 150 marks.
• There will be no negative marking.
• The time duration for the exam will be 2.30 hours.
