BSSC Stenographer Recruitment 2025-26 Eligibility

BSSC Stenographer Selection Process 2025-2026

The BSSC Stenographer recruitment selection structure consists of the following key stages:

• Written Exam.
• Practical Exam.
• Documents Verification.
• Medical Test.

BSSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2025-26

• There will be 150 MCQs for 600 marks.
• Each question carries 4 marks
• There will be negative marking for 1 mark for each incorrect attempt.
• The language of the exam is Hindi or English

Practical Skill Assessment (Typing & Stenography):

Stenography Proficiency Test (Conducted in both Hindi and English):

• Candidates must transcribe 320 words at 80 words per minute within 4 minutes (with 1 extra minute for initial dictation setup).
• After dictation, 2 minutes will be given for correction.
• Candidates will get 20 minutes to type the dictated passage.

Computer-Based Typing Proficiency Test (Available in Hindi and English):

• Hindi Typing: Using the Mangal font in the Remington Gail Keyboard Layout.
• Type 300 words in 10 minutes at 30 words per minute.
• English Typing: Using UTF-8 encoding with English (US) Keyboard Layout.
• Type 300 words in 10 minutes at 30 words per minute.

To qualify for final selection, candidates must meet the minimum proficiency standards set by the Commission.

1. Stenography test: No more than 10% errors allowed.
2. Typing test: No more than 1.5% errors allowed.

BSSC Stenographer Salary 2025-26

Appointed candidates will receive compensation aligned with Pay Level 4 of the 7th Pay Commission, offering a salary bracket of Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month.
