CTET Result 2026 Applicability

(i) The CTET qualification is recognized by Central Government schools (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.) and schools managed by Union Territories including Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, and the NCT of Delhi.

(iii) Schools under State Government management typically follow the State TET, though states may choose to adopt the CTET in place of their own state-level eligibility testing.

(iv) Under CBSE Affiliation Bye-Law 53, it is mandatory for teachers appointed to Classes I–VIII in CBSE-affiliated schools to possess a valid Central Teacher Eligibility Test or State TET certificate, ensuring alignment with NCTE guidelines for teacher quality.
