How Normalisation Works in DRDO CEPTAM 11?

To maintain fairness across multiple exam shifts, DRDO applies a normalization process to the Tier 1 CBT marks. Here is how it functions:

  1. The difficulty may have been different for each shift. Raw marks cannot be directly compared across shifts.
  2. DRDO then applies a normalisation formula (similar to the one followed by NTA) for each candidate to get a normalised score.
  3. The cut-offs and merit ranking are based on the normalised score and not on the raw marks.
  4. Candidates should look at the normalised score shown on their scorecard and not the raw marks.

Example: A candidate scoring 58 raw marks in a more difficult shift may achieve a higher normalized score than a candidate scoring 60 in an easier, less complex shift.

What's Next After the DRDO CEPTAM 11 Result 2026?

Qualified candidates from the Tier 1 CBT are now eligible to proceed to the Tier 2 selection phase. Following the Tier 2 examination, successful candidates will be invited to participate in the final Trade or Skill test stage.

Tier 2 Exam Pattern
