IB Security Assistant MT Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for the IB SA Motor Transport Recruitment 2025 requires candidates to have completed the 10th standard, possess a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license, and provide proof of at least one year of professional driving experience. Applicants must be aged between 18 and 27 years as of the cutoff date, 28th September 2025.

• Possession of a valid driving license for Motor Cars (LMV) issued by the competent authority

Candidates must possess a valid motorcycle driving license issued by a competent regulatory authority.

Experience Certificate

A mandatory experience certificate for driving must be submitted, issued by a Central, State, Semi-Government body, PSU, autonomous organization, or registered private firm, confirming at least one year of experience following the acquisition of the driving license.

Age Limit (As on 28.09.2025)

The age criteria for the Security Assistant (Motor Transport) role is 18–27 years, as of 28th September 2025. Candidates must ensure their birth date falls within the prescribed limits. Government-mandated age relaxations are applicable for specific reserved categories and other eligible groups.

Age Relaxation: 

• SC/ST candidates get a relaxation of 5 years, while OBC candidates are entitled to 3 years of relaxation.
• Departmental candidates working as Central Government civilian employees with at least 3 years of continuous service can apply up to the age of 40 years.
• In case of widows, divorced women, and women judicially separated from their husbands (not remarried), the maximum age limit is relaxed as follows:
  (i) UR: up to 35 years
  (ii) OBC: up to 38 years
  (iii) SC/ST: up to 40 years
• Ex-servicemen are eligible for age relaxation as per Government instructions issued from time to time.
• A relaxation of up to 5 years is available for meritorious sportspersons

IB Security Assistant Motor Transport Recruitment 2025 Selection Process

The recruitment selection for the IB Security Assistant MT post is conducted across four distinct stages. Candidates must successfully qualify at each level to progress through the selection process.

• Tier-I Written Examination (100 Marks): An objective-type test consisting of General Awareness, Driving Rules, Reasoning, Aptitude, and English.
• Tier-II Exam (50 Marks): This stage includes a Driving Test and Motor Mechanism Test, followed by an Interview. Candidates’ practical knowledge of vehicle handling, identifying and fixing minor defects, and overall driving skills will be assessed.
• Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates will undergo verification of their original certificates related to educational qualifications, age, caste, experience, and other eligibility criteria.

The examination pattern for the IB Security Assistant Motor Transport position is structured as follows:

• The examination will be conducted in online mode
• There will be a total of 100 questions for 100 marks
• The duration of the exam is 1 hour
• For each correct answer, 1 mark will be given, while for every incorrect attempt 0.25 marks will be deducted.

IB Security Assistant MT Salary 2025

Security Assistant (Motor Transport) personnel are compensated according to the Level-3 pay scale (Rs. 21,700 – Rs. 69,100) under the 7th CPC. Additionally, employees receive a Special Security Allowance (SSA) of 20% of their basic pay, significantly enhancing the total salary package for this Group ‘C’ role.
