JEE Advanced 2026 Admit Card

Number of attempts
Candidates are eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced exam a maximum of three times in three consecutive years.
Performance in JEE Mains:
To qualify, a candidate must rank among the top 2,50,000 scorers in the JEE Main examination, adhering to the standard category-wise seat distribution.
Appearance in Class 12 (or equivalent) examination
Students who completed their Class 12th board exams in 2024 or are currently appearing for them in 2025 are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2026.
Earlier admission at IITs/ISM
Candidates who have previously accepted an admission offer at any IIT—regardless of whether they completed the program—are ineligible. Furthermore, those whose IIT admission was canceled after enrollment cannot appear for JEE Advanced 2026.
Age Limit
General category candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 2000. A 5-year age relaxation is applicable for candidates from the SC, ST, and PwD categories.
Candidates who were admitted to a preparatory course at any IIT for the first time in 2022 remain eligible for the JEE Advanced 2026 exam.
