According to the announcement, the JET 2026 exam date is finalized for 26th April 2026 (Sunday). The test will be conducted across six designated cities, including Ranchi, East Singhbhum (Jamshedpur), Dhanbad, Bokaro, Deoghar, and Hazaribagh.

Eligibility Criteria for Jharkhand Eligibility Test 2026

Applicants must verify that they meet the necessary age and educational qualifications for the Jharkhand Eligibility Test 2026 to prevent application rejection. A summary of the eligibility requirements is provided below for your reference.

• General / EWS Category: Minimum 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent from a UGC-recognized university.
• Reserved Categories (SC, ST, BC-I, BC-II, PwBD): At least 50% marks in Master’s degree. (Relaxation applicable only to permanent residents of Jharkhand).
• Final Year Students: Can apply provisionally if appearing or awaiting results. Must secure the required percentage within 2 years of result declaration.
• Ph.D. Holders: 5% relaxation if Master’s degree completed on or before 19th September 1991.
• Age Limit: The age of the candidates for the Jharkhand State Eligibility Test must be more than 21 years. There is no upper age limit for the examination.

When submitting the JET 2026 application form, candidates are required to pay an application fee based on their category. The commission facilitates fee payments through various digital modes, including Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, Wallet, Bharat QR, and UPI.
