Eligibility Criteria for Jharkhand Eligibility Test 2026
To avoid application disqualification, candidates must ensure they fully meet the age and academic qualification requirements set by the commission. Please review the official eligibility criteria summarized below.
- General / EWS Category: Minimum 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent from a UGC-recognized university.
- Reserved Categories (SC, ST, BC-I, BC-II, PwBD): At least 50% marks in Master’s degree. (Relaxation applicable only to permanent residents of Jharkhand).
- Final Year Students: Can apply provisionally if appearing or awaiting results. Must secure the required percentage within 2 years of result declaration.
- Ph.D. Holders: 5% relaxation if Master’s degree completed on or before 19th September 1991.
- Age Limit: The age of the candidates for the Jharkhand State Eligibility Test must be more than 21 years. There is no upper age limit for the examination.

JPSC JET Exam Pattern 2026
The JPSC JET 2026 is designed to evaluate teaching proficiency and research aptitude. Conducted in an offline OMR-based format, the exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) spread across two compulsory papers, held in a single 3-hour session. Since there is no negative marking, candidates are encouraged to maximize their score by attempting all questions.
