PSPCL ALM 2026 Exam Pattern

Part I - A mandatory Punjabi Language Proficiency Test consisting of 50 multiple-choice questions. Candidates must secure at least 50% (25 marks) to qualify; failure to do so will lead to immediate disqualification.

Part 2 - This section will be presented in both English and Punjabi, with the exception of the Punjabi language assessment, which is strictly in the Punjabi language.

• The candidate will have the option to select the preferred language of the examination.
• Part 2 will comprise 150 Multiple-choice questions with 1 mark for each correct answer.
• There will be no negative marking.
• The Paper will be for 3 hours.

PSPCL ALM Salary Structure

The Assistant Lineman salary starts with a base pay of Rs. 19,990. During the initial 3-year probation period, appointees typically receive this fixed monthly amount without additional allowances, resulting in an in-hand salary of approximately Rs. 19,000 to Rs. 20,000.

Upon successfully completing the probation period, employees are entitled to the full pay scale, including Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance. This raises the in-hand salary to roughly Rs. 30,000–Rs. 35,000, offering a stable and rewarding career path with excellent government benefits.
