Punjab Police Constable 2026 Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

Before proceeding, all applicants must ensure they meet the mandatory Punjab Police Constable Eligibility criteria.

Educational Qualification

  • General Candidates: Must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent qualification from a recognised Board or University.
  • Ex-Servicemen: Minimum qualification is Matriculation (10th Pass).
  • All candidates must have studied Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject at the Matriculation level.
  • All qualifications must be attained on or before 1st January 2026.

Age Limit (as on 1st January 2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 28 Years
  • Age relaxations apply for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen as per the Punjab Government norms.

Nationality

  • Candidates must be citizens of India.
  • Candidates holding a Green Card, Permanent Residency, or citizenship of any other country are NOT eligible.

Punjab Police Constable Selection Process

The selection process consists of four distinct stages. Candidates must successfully qualify in each stage to advance to the next level of the recruitment process.
