RRB JE CBT 1 Exam 2026 Shift Timings (Expected)

The RRB JE CBT 1 Exam is expected to be conducted in three shifts daily, with each shift lasting 90 minutes (1.5 hours). Based on previous years' trends, the general shift timings are structured as follows:

RRB JE Selection Stages

The RRB JE selection process comprises four stages, beginning with CBT 1 and concluding with the final appointment.

1. CBT 1: This test consists of 100 questions covering Mathematics (30 questions), General Intelligence & Reasoning (25), General Awareness (15), and General Science (30), with a total duration of 90 minutes and a 1/3 negative marking scheme.

2. CBT 2: The main technical examination features Part A (General Awareness, Physics, Chemistry, Basics of IT/Environment, 100 questions) and Part B (trade-specific professional knowledge, 100 questions, qualifying nature) over a total duration of 150 minutes.

3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates from CBT 2 must present original certificates and marksheets to verify their educational qualifications, age, category, and identity proofs.

4. Medical Examination: A final fitness assessment evaluating vision, hearing, and physical standards specific to each post (e.g., A-1 for most JEs), after which only successful candidates are appointed.
