How RRB Technician Marks are Calculated?

The Railway Recruitment Board calculates the final CBT 1 scores using a standard evaluation formula that accounts for correct responses, applicable negative markings, and the total number of questions attempted by the candidate.

RRB Technician Scoring Formula: Total Marks = (Number of Correct Answers × Marks per Question) − (Number of Incorrect Answers × Negative Marks)

Calculation Example

If you attempted 100 questions in your examination, here is how the scoring works:

Correct Answers = 70
Incorrect Answers = 20
Unattempted = 10

Calculation Breakdown:

Marks for Correct Answers = 70 × 1 = 70
Negative Penalty = 20 × 1/3 = 6.67

Final Calculated Score = 70 − 6.67 = 63.33 Marks
