SBI Clerk (Junior Associates) Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the SBI Clerk 2026 examination, candidates must satisfy two primary requirements regarding education and age.

SBI Clerk Educational Qualifications 

Applicants must possess a valid graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification acknowledged by the Central Government. Candidates with an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) should ensure their graduation pass date falls within the required criteria.

Note: Students in their final year or semester of graduation are eligible to apply provisionally. However, if selected, they must present proof of passing their graduation degree during the document verification stage.

Candidates must be between 20 and 28 years of age. Specifically, applicants must have been born no earlier than 02.04.1997 and no later than 01.04.2005 (both dates inclusive).

SBI Clerk (Junior Associates) Selection Procedure

The recruitment process for the SBI Clerk (Junior Associate) role consists of two phases: the Prelims and the Mains, followed by a mandatory Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT). Candidates must clear both phases to be considered for an appointment. It is important to note that there is no provision for Inter-Circle or Inter-State transfers for selected Junior Associates.

Note: Trained SBI apprentices may receive weightage in the Main Examination by being awarded bonus marks equivalent to 2.5% of the total score (i.e., 5 marks out of 200).
