Written Exam Pattern

The written assessment is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) featuring 100 MCQs to be completed in 120 minutes. Note that there is a negative marking of 1/4th mark per incorrect answer.

How to Apply for SSB Recruitment 2026

  1. Visit the official website of SSB, www.ssb.gov.in.
  2. Click on the 'Apply link' for the Constable (Tradesman/Driver) recruitment.
  3. Select the 'register' button and provide your basic details, including a valid email ID and phone number.
  4. Retrieve your newly generated Registration ID and password.
  5. Log in using these credentials to input your comprehensive personal and educational information.
  6. Upload your recent passport-size photograph and a clear signature.
  7. Submit all required documents in the prescribed format and file size.
  8. Pay the application fee (Rs. 100 for UR/EWS/OBC; Nil for others) and finalize your submission.

Once the application is submitted, it is advisable to keep a hard copy for future reference. Candidates should also prepare for the PET/PST by focusing on fitness, as the dates will be released shortly after the application window closes.
