Candidates preparing for the SSC GD Constable exam can now check the official schedule and physical eligibility criteria for the upcoming selection stages. A total of 25,487 vacancies have been announced across major security forces including BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, AR, SSF, and NCB. Out of the applicants, 50,047 candidates (comprising 45,115 males and 4,932 females) have been shortlisted for the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
The physical evaluation process is managed by the Boards of CAPFs. Aspirants must clear both the PST and PET stages to qualify for the subsequent Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Document Verification (DV).
SSC GD Physical Exam Schedule 2026
The physical examination is officially scheduled to take place from 16th to 30th October 2026. Hall tickets will be issued prior to the tests, and candidates can download them from the official Central Reserve Police Force website.

SSC GD Physical Requirements for Male Candidates
Male applicants must fulfill specific height and chest dimensions depending on their region and category:
- General, SC & OBC: 170 cm height, 80 cm chest (5 cm expansion)
- Scheduled Tribes: 162.5 cm height, 76 cm chest (5 cm expansion)
- ST from Northeastern States/LWE Districts: 160 cm height, 147.5 cm chest (Note: source data conflict in table structure)
- Northeastern States (General/SC/OBC): 162.5 cm height, 77 cm chest (5 cm expansion)
- Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Dogras, Marathas, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, J&K: 165 cm height, 78 cm chest (5 cm expansion)
