  • SSC JE 2026 exam consists of Objective Multiple Choice Questions
  • The mode of the SSC JE exam is a computer-based mode
  • Paper 1 will be held for 200 marks, and Paper 2 will be for 300 marks
  • In the SSC JE Paper 1 exam, 1 mark will be awared for each correct answer, and 3 marks will be given for each correct answer in Paper 2
  • A total of 0.25 marks will be deducted for every question attempted incorrectly by a candidate in paper 1, and in paper 2, there will be a negative marking of 1 mark

SSC JE Exam Pattern 2026 [Paper 1]

  • The SSC JE Paper 1 exam is divided into three parts.
  • Part 1: General Intelligence and Reasoning, Part 2: General Awareness, and Part 3 for Engineering subjects (Civil & Structural/ Electrical/ Mechanical)
  • Paper 1 includes 200 objective-type multiple-choice questions.
  • For each correct answer, 1 mark will be awared, there is negative marking, 0.25 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
  • The time duration of Paper 1 is 2 hours.
