TS SET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet specific eligibility requirements to qualify for the TS SET examination. Failure to comply with these criteria may lead to immediate disqualification during the document verification stage.
Educational Qualification
Outlined below are the essential educational qualifications required for applicants aspiring to secure Assistant Professor or Lecturer positions in Telangana's universities and colleges.
- Candidates may apply if they have scored 555 marks (without rounding off) in a master's degree (M.A., M.Sc., M.Com., MBA, MLISC, M.Ed., M.PEd., MCJ, LLM, MCA, and M.Tech (CSE & IT only).
- Candidates belonging to the Backward Classes (BC), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories who have scored at least 50% of marks in their master's degree (without rounding off) are also eligible.
- Ph.D. holders who passed their Master's degree examination before September 19, 1991, (regardless of the date the results were announced) will be allowed for a 5% aggregate mark relaxation, or a drop from 55% to 50%, to appear in SET.
- Candidates who are pursuing their Master’s Degree course, candidates who have appeared for their qualifying Master’s Degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited, or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed, may also apply for this TS SET 2025 examination.
Age Limit
There is no upper age limit for appearing in the TS SET examination. Candidates are only required to meet the necessary educational qualifications to be eligible for the test.

5. Enter your personal details, including name, parent's name, category, date of birth, contact information, academic qualifications, and preferred exam center.
6. Set a secure password and enter the security PIN as prompted on the screen.

8. Complete the fee payment based on your category and submit your final application.
TS SET Exam Pattern 2025
The TS SET 2025 exam structure consists of two papers, Paper I and Paper II, conducted within a single 3-hour (180-minute) session. A thorough understanding of the exam pattern is essential for effective preparation.
- Each question carries 2 marks, i.e., candidates will be rewarded +2 for every correct answer in both papers.
- There will only be objective-type questions in Paper I and II.
- All questions are compulsory to attempt in both papers.
- The mode of the TS SET exam will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT).
- The language of examination will be bilingual, i.e., in English and Telugu.
- The time duration for paper 1 is 60 minutes and paper 2 is 120 minutes.
