Eligibility Criteria and Age Relaxations

To apply for the post, candidates must hold a graduation degree from a recognized university and fall within the age bracket of 21 to 30 years. However, upper age relaxations are provided for specific categories:

  • Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe: 5 years
  • Other Backward Classes: 3 years
  • Persons with Benchmark Disability: 10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen /Disabled Ex-servicemen: The actual period of service rendered in the defence forces + 3 years subject to a maximum 45 years
  • Widows, Divorced women, and women legally separated from their Husbands, who have not remarried: 5 years
  • Persons ordinarily domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 1-1-80 to 31-12-89: 5 years
  • A resident of Assam State during the period from 01.01.1980 to 15.08.1985: Maximum age shall be 33 years
  • Existing Confirmed Employees of the Company: 5 years

UIIC Assistant Exam Pattern

The selection process consists of an Online Examination followed by the Regional Language Test. The online exam comprises 200 questions for a total of 250 marks, with a duration of 120 minutes (2 hours). Objective tests except the English Language test are bilingual (English and Hindi). There is a negative marking of 1/4th mark for each incorrect answer.
