Education Qualification- A Bachelor’s degree with Physics and Chemistry from a recognized University or Institution established by law in India (AND) A B.Ed. degree recognized by the NCTE.

Hindi Teacher Eligibility 

Education Qualification- Graduation with Hindi from a recognized University plus Intermediate with Sanskrit (OR) a pass in the Uttar Madhyma Pariksha from the UP Sanskrit Shiksha Parishad (AND) a B.Ed. degree recognized by the NCTE.

Age Limit- 21 to 40 years.

Mathematics Teacher Eligibility

Education Qualification- A Graduation degree with Mathematics as a core subject from a recognized University or Institution (AND) a B.Ed. degree recognized by the NCTE.

Age Limit- 21 to 40 years.

Computer Teacher Eligibility

Education Qualification- B.Tech/B.E. (Computer Science), Graduate in Computer Science/Application, OR Graduation with an 'A' Level NIELIT certification. Additional qualification of B.Tech/B.E. and an MCA is accepted (AND) a B.Ed. degree recognized by the NCTE.

Age Limit- 21 to 40 years.

Urdu Teacher Eligibility

Education Qualification- A Bachelor’s degree with Urdu as a subject from a recognized University in India
(AND) a B.Ed. degree recognized by the NCTE.

Age Limit- 21 to 40 years.

Biology Teacher Eligibility

Education Qualification- A Graduation degree with Zoology and Botany from a recognized University or Institution (AND) a B.Ed. degree recognized by the NCTE.

Age Limit- 21 to 40 years.

Sanskrit Teacher Eligibility 

Education Qualification- A Graduation degree with Sanskrit as a subject from a recognized University or Institution (AND) a B.Ed. degree recognized by the NCTE.

Age Limit- 21 to 40 years.

Arts Teacher Eligibility

Education Qualification- Graduation with Art as a subject plus a B.Ed. degree (OR) A Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree with a B.Ed. as a preferential qualification from a recognized institution.

Music Teacher Eligibility 

Education Qualification- Graduation with Music as a subject OR possessing a Sangeet Visharad/Sangeet Prabhakar certificate from a recognized authority, along with a standard Bachelor's degree.

Commerce Teacher Eligibility

Education Qualification- A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from a recognized University (AND) a B.Ed. degree recognized by the NCTE.

Age Limit- 21 to 40 years.

Physical Education Teacher Eligibility

Education Qualification- A Bachelor's degree from a recognized University (AND) a B.P.Ed. or B.P.E. degree recognized by the NCTE.

Age Limit- 21 to 40 years.

Home Science Teacher Eligibility

Education Qualification- A Bachelor's degree in Home Science from a recognized University (AND) a B.Ed. degree recognized by the NCTE.

Age Limit- 21 to 40 years.

Agriculture / Horticulture Teacher Eligibility 

Education Qualification- A Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or Horticulture from a recognized University (AND) a B.Ed. degree recognized by the NCTE.

UP LT Grade Teacher Age Limit 2026

To be eligible for the UP LT Grade Teacher recruitment, candidates must be at least 21 years of age and not exceed 40 years as of the specified cut-off date.

Changes in UP LT Grade Teacher Eligibility Criteria

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has recently updated several aspects of the UP LT Grade Teacher eligibility standards, which are outlined in the sections above.

• Mandatory B.Ed.: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree has been made compulsory for all subjects
• Specific Subject Degrees: Only the listed subjects/degrees will be accepted. “Equivalent” qualifications are no longer considered.
• Computer Teachers: The eligibility criteria for Computer teachers have been expanded to allow candidates with the following qualifications: (i) Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), (ii) B.Sc. in Computer Science (CS), (iii) Graduation in any discipline with NIELIT ‘A’ level certification
• Music Teachers: Candidates with traditional music qualifications such as Sangeet Visharad and Prabhakar can still apply; however, these qualifications are now valid only if they are accompanied by a regular graduation degree from a recognized university.
