This strategic push aims to strengthen the operational capacity of Multipurpose Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) with 20,000 new, qualified personnel.

- Around 5,000 posts are vacant in the top cooperative institutions
- 1,751 vacancies are in District Cooperative Banks (DCBs) alone
- About 5,000 Secretary posts will be filled in PACS
- Around 3,000 Accountant posts will be filled in PACS
- Over 5,000 Computer Assistants will be hired through outsourcing
- Watchmen will also be recruited wherever positions are vacant
UP PACS Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection process for these positions will consist of a rigorous Written Main Examination, followed by a formal Document Verification stage. Successful candidates will be selected based on their performance in the written test to ensure merit-based recruitment.
The written exam is structured to include 100 objective-type, multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 100 marks. Candidates will be provided 2 hours to complete the assessment, with a negative marking policy of 1/4 mark for each incorrect answer.
