UP Police Vacancy 2026 Selection Process

Phase 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT): The initial screening involves an objective-type MCQ examination. The syllabus covers General Knowledge, Hindi, Logical Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, and Law/Constitution (for SI applicants), conducted via a secure, technology-driven platform.

Phase 2: Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates must meet mandatory height, weight, and chest circumference benchmarks. This stage is qualifying in nature and crucial for further progression.

Phase 3: Physical Efficiency Test (PET): This endurance-based assessment includes a running test: male candidates must complete 4.8 km in 28 minutes, and female candidates must complete 2.4 km in 16 minutes.

Phase 4: Document Verification: Candidates are required to produce original certificates verifying educational qualifications, date of birth, domicile, category status, and character clearance.

Phase 5: Medical Examination: The final stage evaluates physical and mental fitness, including vision tests, auditory health, and orthopedic assessments, performed by a government-authorized medical board.
