UPSC Prelims Score Card and Marks

How to Calculate UPSC Prelims Marks?

The UPSC Prelims scorecard will be released alongside the final results. The Prelims consist of two papers totaling 400 marks, while the Mains examination is worth 2,350 marks. The UPSC Prelims serve as a qualifying stage, whereas the Mains consists of nine papers, including two language papers that are qualifying in nature.

What’s Next After UPSC Prelims Result 2026?

Candidates who qualified in the Prelims must now proceed to the Mains examination. Qualified candidates are required to submit their DAF/cadre preferences for the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2026 between June 19 and June 28, 2026. A fee of Rs. 200 applies, though exemptions exist for female, SC, ST, and PwBD candidates.
