About Aryabhatta Knowledge University

The Aryabhatta Knowledge University Act 2008 provides for the establishment of University at Patna to conduct and facilitate affiliation of institutions in the conventional as well new frontiers of professional education. All colleges and institutions imparting professional education, for example, Engineering and Technology including information Technology, Nano technology & Biotechnology, Management, Medicine, Health technology, Public Health Pharmacy, Optometry, Nursing, Education, Law etc. is to be affiliated to this university. The objective is to achieve excellence in teaching, research, and extension work in these areas and other matter connected herewith or incidental thereto.

AKU Admission 2019

Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU), Patna has been established by Government of Bihar for the development and management of educational infrastructure related to technical, medical, management and allied professional education in the state.

The University offers a number of courses in technical, medical and management field under various specialization subjects. The UG level courses include B.Tech., M.B.B.S., B.D.S., B.A.M.S., etc., whereas the PG level courses include M.Tech., M.S., M.D., M.B.A., M.Sc., etc. The university also offers the doctoral degree in various different fields of research.

Admission to various courses are through an entrance examination conducted by the university itself for evaluation of the candidates, whereas, for the other courses, the candidates are admitted purely based on their merit in the previous qualifying examination.

Key Point to Note: The reservation of seats for the different categories is as per the rules set by the Govt. of Bihar

AKU Patna Application Process

An online application form has to fill on University official website.
The online filled application form (Printed /downloaded) must be sent with the Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only) and Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only) for SC/ST candidates only, issued from any nationalized bank, in favor of “AKU, REGISTRATION AND EXAMINATION FUND” payable at Patna.
