About Central University of Kerala
Central University of Kerala (CU Kerala) is one of the 16 Central Universities established under “The Central Universities Act, 2009 (Parliament Act No. 25 of 2009)”. In January 2009, it started functioning from a transit campus in Vidyanagar, Kasaragod, with two academic programmes: MA in English and Comparative Literature, and MA in Economics. CU Kerala offers updated interdisciplinary syllabi in six postgraduate programmes and two integrated M.Phil./Ph.D. programmes in the Choice-Based Credit Semester System. It has state-of-the-art library and laboratory facilities. Internet and digital resources are freely available to students. Separate hostel facilities are available for women and men. Three types of scholarships are available to all deserving students: merit, merit-cum-means, and boarding.
CUK Admission 2019
Central University of Kerala (CUK) is one of the 15 Central universities in India which was established in the year of 2009. The university is situated in Kasaragod, Kerala, India. The main campus of the university is situated at Periyar.
The Central University of Kerala offers various UG, PG and Ph.D. Programs in the fields of Science, Arts, International Relations & Politics, Social Work, English & Comparative Literature, Linguistics, Education and Legal Studies.
Admission to all the UG and PG courses is done through Central Universities Common Entrance Test, which is an all-India test organized by ten Central Universities together.
Admission to the Ph.D. Programs is done on the basis of merit in CUCET followed by an Interview conducted by the university itself.
Key Points :
- For all Courses, 15% seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe (ST), 27% of non-creamy layer OBC candidates. Besides, candidates belonging to differently abled category (i.e. Visually Handicapped, hearing impaired, and orthopedically handicapped category) is also entitled to the reservation as per UGC/Government of India guidelines as adopted by the University time to time.
- Any other reservation (Kashmiri migrants etc.) shall be as per UGC/Govt. of India guidelines and as adopted by the University from time to time
- Eligible International students (foreign nationals and NRI) will be admitted directly without appearing in the Entrance Test against the supernumerary seats to the extent of 10% of the total seats in a Program
Central University of Kerala Online Exam Form
CUCET 2019 Application Form will be available online only. Students can make both online and offline payment for the form. The process of filling the test form is quite easy.
Here are some of the steps that a candidate must follow:
- Visit the official portal of CUCET 2019 and go to 'Apply'
- Select the level of program – UG, PG, or research
- Fill in your personal details like name, email address, phone number, address, date of birth, and password.
- You will receive a confirmation message and mail on your registered mobile number and email address respectively.
- Now, you will have to fill in the online application form for CUCET 2019
- Upload your photo and signature. Go through the guidelines to upload your signature and photograph before filling the application.
- You can register for up to three courses in the selected program in each university. An add-on fee may be applied in case you want to apply additional (extra) course(s).
- Make payment after checking all the filled details.
