About Vikram University

Ujjayini (now Ujjain), the capital of ancient Avanti Pradesh and one of the oldest and most renowned seats of learning has a rich academic and cultural heritage. Vikram University was established in Ujjain on the 1st of March, 1957. The foundation stone of Vikram University was laid by the then Home Minister of India Shri Govind Vallabh Pant on Tuesday, Kartika Krishnapaksha Chaturthi, Vikramabda 2013 i.e. on the 23rd of October, 1956. The function was presided over by the Rajpramukh of the Madhyabharat State Late Jiwajirao Scindia. The Lions and the Rising Sun ( which, together formed the Crest of the great Vikramaditya) represent indomitable courage and the rising light of wisdom. The Book Poised liaghtly on the petals of the lotus signifies the numerous branches of learning. The Silhouette of the temple of Mahakaleshwara symbolizes the sacred culture of the ancient city of Ujjain, the seat of the University”.

Vikram University provides admission to various PG level courses in field of Arts, Science and Commerce such as Master of Arts, Master of Education, Master of Science, Master of Communication, Master of Computer Application, Master of Social Work, Master of Library and Information Science. The registration is done in online mode. Eligible and interested candidates can submit the application form on the official website of the university i.e. www.vikramuniv.net.

Students have to mention a valid email address or contact number on the application form. All the information regarding admission process will be sent by email only. All the information which is mentioned on the application form should be correct and verified with the information of the original document.

Applicants have to pay an application fee of INR 2000 at the time of registration process. The amount of application fee can be paid in offline mode through The hard copy of duly filled application form along with all the required documents and demand draft send it to the concerned department.

The students who are studying in this university can access the exam time table from the official site. The exam board will furnish the exam time table 2018 for all subjects on the official site. After the official notification, the students can download their Vikram University exam time table from the official site. The exam board will determine the exam schedule once the declaration has released. The exam board will not change the exam dates once it is updated.
