About Kota University
The University of Kota was established in the year 2003 in a culturally rich heritage city Kota situated on the bank of holy river Chambal. The University came into existence through enactment of Government of Rajasthan vide order No. F.21 (2)Edu-4/2003 dated 29-0902003 under the provision of Section-4(1) AND 50(1) of the University of Kota, Kota Act, 2003. Presently, 175 colleges of six districts of the State, namely, Kota, Bundi, Baran, Jhalawar, Karauliand Sawai Madhopur are under the territorial jurisdiction of the University. The University has six faculties, namely, Arts, Science, Social Sciences, Commerce and Management, Law and Education. Various academic programmes are also being run at the campus and in the affiliated colleges of the University. Courses, namely, M.B.A., M.I.B., M.C.A., M.Sc. (Pure Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Physics-Energy, Wildlife Life and Life Sciences), M.S.W., M.A./M.Sc. (Geography and Military Science) M.A. (Sociology and Heritage, Museologyand Management), M.Phil. (Commerce, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, History, Political Science and Sociology), Diploma in Remote Sensing & GIS, LL.M., M.P.Ed., Ph.D. Programmes (Accountancy & Business Statistics, Economic Administration and Financial Management, Business Administration/Management, Law, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Music, Urdu, Drawing and Painting, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, Physics, Public Administration, Political Science, Economics, Sociology, Geography, History, Home Science, Education, Library and Information Science, etc.) are being run in the university campus.- 175 universities of 6 areas of the State, to be specific, Kota, Baran, Bundi, Karauliand Sawai Madhopur, Jhalawar, are under the regional purview of the University.
- The college is presently dead set for significant and socially important research and enlisting scholars in PH.D. Programme through entrance examination according to the UGC guidelines.
- As such, the University has honored 96 P.D. degrees and around 1,116 researchers are pursuing PhD programs in diverse controls with around 208 affirmed exploration managers.
- An extensive number of scholars have their education subsidized through different Central and State Government financing offices.
- College offices are arranging State and National level classes & meetings
- The University is appropriating a substantial number of undertakings from diverse bureaus of Govt. of India, Govt. of Rajasthan and is recognized by the Ministry of Sciences Technology, Department of Science and Industrial Research (DSIR), Govt, of India as an approaching examination focus in Rajasthan.
University of Kota Admission 2019
The University of Kota UOK offers various postgraduate, M.Phil and Ph.D. courses under a number of specialization subjects.
The application procedure for the postgraduate courses start in the month of June and candidates are selected based on the marks obtained by them in the previous qualifying examination. The candidates don’t need to sit for any entrance test.
For the Ph.D. courses, the application procedure generally starts around the month of January and the applicants who are eligible for the course are required to appear for an Entrance test in order to get admission to the doctoral courses.
ConsideralblePoints:
- 50% of the total number of seats in each of the course are reserved for SC / ST / OBC/ Special Backward Classes
- 3% of the total number of seats in each category are reserved for physically handicapped candidates defined as deaf / dumb / blind / loss of any limb with personal disability
- 1% of seats for every courses are reserved for students from Jammu and Kashmir
