The CAT exam consists of three core sections: Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, and Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning.
Candidates are allotted 40 minutes for each section. Once the time limit for a specific section expires, the session for that section concludes automatically.
The CAT exam comprises a total of 66 questions, distributed as follows: VARC (24 questions), DILR (20 questions), and QA (22 questions).
The maximum score for the CAT examination is 198 marks. The distribution is as follows: VARC (72 marks), DILR (60 marks), and QA (66 marks).
The CAT 2025 examination is tentatively scheduled to be held on 30th November 2025.
CAT scores remain valid for one academic year only.
