3. The CUET (UG) 2026 structure consists of the following 4 sections:

  1. Section IA – 13 Languages (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odiya, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, English, Hindi and Urdu)
  2. Section IB – 20 Languages (French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, Italian, Arabic, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Konkani, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Santhali, Tibetan, Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Sanskrit.)
  3. Section II – 27 Domain-specific Subjects (listed below)
  4. Section III – General Test

4. The question paper exclusively features Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

5. Section IA & IB: Candidates may select a maximum of three languages in total. One chosen language may serve as a replacement for a domain-specific subject. 

6. Section II offers a choice of 27 domain-specific subjects, from which candidates can select a maximum of 6 subjects. 

7. Section III is dedicated to the General Test. 

8. The marking scheme awards +5 marks for each correct response, while 01 mark is deducted for every incorrect attempt.
