Eligibility and Nationality Criteria

To qualify for the GBO post, candidates must meet specific professional and demographic requirements. Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate marks and have completed 2 years of service as an officer in a bank or financial institution. The age limit is set between 21 to 32 years.

  • Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962, intending to settle permanently

  • PWD: 10 years
  • Ex-servicemen: Actual service period + 3 years (max 50 years)
  • Persons affected by 1984 riots: 5 years

Exam Pattern and Salary

The selection process consists of an online examination followed by an interview. The exam features 200 questions totaling 200 marks with a 2-hour duration. Be aware of the negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect response. Successful candidates can expect an approximate monthly salary between Rs 65,000 and Rs 67,000.
