NIACL AO Recruitment 2026

Each year, thousands of aspirants compete for the prestigious NIACL Administrative Officer role. NIACL AO 2026 Eligibility

To be eligible for the Generalist Administrative Officer role at New India Assurance, candidates must meet specific educational qualifications and age requirements. We have provided a comprehensive breakdown of the NIACL AO 2026 eligibility criteria below.

Nationality 

Applicants must fall into one of the following categories: 

(a) A citizen of India, or 

(b) A subject of Nepal, or 

(c) A subject of Bhutan, or 

(d) A Tibetan refugee who entered India prior to January 1, 1962, with the intention of settling permanently, or 

(e) An individual of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or specific East/Central African nations to reside permanently in India. Candidates from categories (b), (c), (d), and (e) must provide an eligibility certificate issued by the Government of India.

NIACL AO 2026 Exam Pattern

The NIACL AO 2026 examination comprises two online phases. Phase-1 is an objective test, while Phase-2 consists of both objective and descriptive components.

1. The NIACL Phase 1 Exam features three primary sections: English Language, Reasoning Ability, and Numerical/Quantitative Aptitude. 

2. Each section is allotted a fixed time limit of 20 minutes. 

3. The paper includes 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark.

4. There is a negative marking scheme of 1/4th mark for every incorrect answer.

1. The NIACL AO Mains Exam is split into Objective and Descriptive sections, with candidates required to clear the sectional cut-off for each. 

2. The duration for the objective test is 2 hours, and the descriptive test is 30 minutes.

3. The paper consists of 200 MCQ-type questions followed by 2 essay/letter writing tasks.

4. The descriptive test is administered exclusively in the English language.
