Eligibility Criteria for NPCIL Executive Trainee Recruitment 2026
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must possess a B.E., B.Tech, B.Sc (Engineering), or a 5-year integrated M.Tech degree.
- A minimum of 60% marks in aggregate is required in one of the 6 notified engineering disciplines.
- The degree must be obtained from a university recognized by AICTE/UGC.
- Only full-time, regular, on-campus courses are considered valid.
- Candidates completing their degree through distance learning, correspondence, part-time, or research-based methods are not eligible.
- Final year or final semester students graduating by 30th November 2026 can apply, provided they achieve the minimum 60% aggregate marks.

- Navigate to the official NPCIL careers portal by visiting https://www.npcilcareers.co.in/ in your preferred web browser.
- On the homepage, locate and click on the “Careers” section, typically found at the top of the page.
- Click on “New Registration” to initiate the application process. You will need to provide details of your valid GATE score, engineering discipline, category, personal information, registered email ID, and mobile number. After successful registration, an activation link will be sent to your email.
- Log in using your registration credentials. Complete the application form by accurately entering your educational qualifications, work experience (if any), personal and category details, preferred interview city, and reactor stream preference (PHWR/LWR for relevant disciplines).
- Upload a recent passport-sized photograph (10 KB to 50 KB) and your signature (maximum 50 KB) in JPEG format.
- Proceed to pay the application fee using the available online payment methods such as Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

Training Streams
Candidates from Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, and Instrumentation disciplines are required to indicate their preference for one of the following reactor streams:
- Pressurised Heavy Water Reactor (PHWR) Stream: Training will be conducted at any of NPCIL's Nuclear Training Centres (NTC).
- Light Water Reactor (LWR) Stream: Training will be held at the Nuclear Training Centre (NTC) located at Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project (KKNPP) Site, Nagarcoil, Tamil Nadu.
Candidates from the Civil discipline are not required to choose a specific stream.
NPCIL Executive Trainee Selection Process 2026
The selection of Executive Trainees will be a multi-stage process:
- Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their valid GATE score. NPCIL aims to shortlist candidates in a 1:12 ratio (12 candidates for every vacancy).
- Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will proceed to the Personal Interview stage.
