What is NVS Contractual Teacher Eligibility?

To qualify for the NVS Contractual Vacancy 2026, applicants must satisfy the specified educational qualifications and age requirements outlined below:

Educational Qualification

For Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) Posts

• Candidates must have completed a Post Graduate Course with at least 50% marks in aggregate, including B.Ed. component (OR)
• Master’s Degree from a recognized institution with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the subject concerned (AND)
• B.Ed. Degree from an NCTE-recognized institution with at least 50% marks (OR)
• Three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution with at least 50% marks. (OR)
• Four-year integrated degree with at least 50% marks from an NCTE-recognized institution, including B.Ed. component

For PGT Computer Science

• Candidates must hold M.Sc. (Computer Science/IT)  (OR)
• MCA from a recognised institution with at least 50% marks, or M.E. or M.Tech. (Computer Science/IT) from a recognised institution with at least 50% marks, along with a B.Ed. Degree from an NCTE recognised institution with at least 50% marks,  (OR)
• 3 years integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. or a four-year integrated degree with B.Ed. component from an NCTE-recognised institution with at least 50% marks.

For TGT (Trained Graduate Teachers) Posts

• Candidates must have a 4-year integrated degree course from an NCTE recognised institution with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject and in aggregate, including B.Ed. component  (OR)
• Bachelor’s/Honours Degree from a recognised institution with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject, with B.Ed. from an NCTE recognised institution with at least 50% marks, along with a valid Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II qualification and competence to teach through English and Hindi medium (OR)
• Post Graduation in the concerned subject / any specialization in the concerned subject with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade

For the Post of Staff Nurse (Female)

• B.Sc. (Hons.) in Nursing from a recognized University/Institute (OR)
• Regular course in B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized University/Institute (OR)
• Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized University/Institute (AND)
• Registered as a Nurse or Nurse Midwife (RN or RM) with any State Nursing council
• Two and a half years of experience in a minimum 50 beded Hospital after
  acquiring (1) above

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for teacher applicants is 50 years as of July 1st of the engagement year. For retired government school teachers or former NVS staff, the upper age limit is extended to 65 years as of the same date.
