A total of 63,475 candidates have been shortlisted for the 2nd stage selection process, which is the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Successful qualifiers will proceed further toward Document Verification (DV) against 32,438 available Group D vacancies. Additionally, candidates tracking CEN 09/2025 should note that there are 22,195 Level 1 vacancies, with application status updates slated for release on 9th July 2026.
Understanding the RRB Group D PET Requirements
The physical test is mandatory and purely qualifying in nature; no marks will be added to the final merit score. Candidates must meet the precise physical standard criteria laid down by the board:
PET Requirements for Male Candidates
- Lift and carry 35 kg of weight for 100 meters in one chance, without setting it down
- Run 1000 meters within 4 minutes 15 seconds, in one chance
PET Requirements for Female Candidates
- Lift and carry 20 kg of weight for 100 meters in 2 minutes, in one chance
- Run 1000 meters within 5 minutes 40 seconds, in one chance
