According to the SBI CBO 2026 Notification, Circle Based Officers will be recruited in the JMGS-I pay scale (Rs. 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2- 67160-2680/7-85920), starting with one increment for each completed year of service in an officer cadre within a Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank.
Officers are also entitled to D.A., H.R.A./Lease rental, C.C.A., medical benefits, and other allowances as per prevailing bank regulations.

Upon selection, candidates will be appointed as Circle Based Officers and will undergo a probationary period of 6 months.
During probation, CBOs will be subject to ongoing performance assessments. Those who meet the bank's standards will be confirmed in Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I). Failure to meet these standards may result in the termination of services.
Selected officers belong to the general cadre and are governed by the bank's standard promotion policy. Note that transfer restrictions remain in place until promotion to the SMGS-IV grade or 12 years of service.
