SIDBI Phase 1 Exam Pattern 2025 (For All Streams/Grades)

  1. The subjects for the SIDBI Phase 1 Exam are- Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness
  2. There will be 200 multiple-choice questions
  3. The duration of the online exam is 2 hours (120 minutes).
  4. The marking scheme has been discussed in the table below for each section.
  5. For each incorrect answer, there is a negative marking of ¼th mark.
  6. English Language, Reasoning Aptitude, Quantitative Aptitude, and Computer Knowledge are qualifying in nature.
  7. Shortlisting of candidates for phase 2 exam will be based on marks scored in General Awareness, MSMEs, and Stream Specific Test.
  8. The level of difficulty of questions in Grade ‘A’ and Grade ‘B’ may vary.

General Stream (Grade A and B): MSME financing, including KYC and due diligence, financial ratios, term loan/working capital assessment, documentary credit, NPA management, IRAC norms, NBFC financing, and credit risk assessment. 

Legal Stream (Grade B): Comprehensive knowledge of Constitutional and Administrative Law, Statutory Interpretation, Contract Act 1872, Transfer of Property Act 1882, Negotiable Instruments Act 1881, Registration Act 1908, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, RDB Act 1993, SARFAESI 2002, RTI Act 2005, IBC 2013, and Legal Drafting. 

IT Stream (Grade B): Domain-specific proficiency covering emerging IT trends, programming, coding, database management, network security, AI/ML applications, and system architecture design. 

SIDBI Phase 2 Exam Pattern 2025 (Grade A & B General Stream)
