Eligibility Criteria
To appear for the TGTET-2026, candidates must meet specific educational benchmarks depending on the paper they are attempting.
Eligibility Criteria Paper I (Classes 1-5)
- Intermediate (10+2) with 50% marks (45% for reserved/differently abled)
- 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR 4-year B.El.Ed. OR Diploma in Special Education
Eligibility Criteria Paper II (Classes 6-8)
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.E./B.Tech) with 50% marks (with relaxation for reserved categories)
- B.Ed. or equivalent teacher training qualification
