Selection for the TNPSC Group 4 is determined by a 3-hour objective-type (OMR-based) written exam consisting of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The difficulty level is standardized to the 10th-grade syllabus. The TNPSC Group 4 Exam is structured into three distinct subject segments.
- TNPSC Has incorporated the Tamil Eligibility-cum-Scoring Test of SSLC Standard which would consist of 100 questions for 150 marks.
- The general studies section has 75 questions in all from general science, current events, geography, history, politics, economy, etc.
