TNPSC Group 2 & Group 2A- Mains Exam Pattern

TNPSC Combined Civil Services Examination – II (Group II and IIA Services) comprises two successive stages: Common Preliminary Examination and Separate Main Examination for Group II and Group IIA Services.

Note: Previously, the Group 2 examination included an interview stage, while Group 2A vacancies did not. According to the updated official notification, the interview stage for Group 2 posts has been officially removed.

TNPSC Group 2 & Group 2A – Salary

• Group 2 posts fall in higher pay levels, commonly Level 18 and Pay Level 16
• Group 2A posts, especially clerical and support roles, sit in comparatively lower pay levels from Pay Level 9 to 12
