Your **Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA)** evaluates your academic performance across all courses taken during a specific semester. In CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) curriculums, courses carry different credit weights (e.g. 4 credits for core engineering theory, 2 credits for laboratory experiments).
Multiply the grade point corresponding to your letter grade in each course by the course's credit hours. Sum these points and divide by the total semester credits:

For UGC and CBSE compliant programs, convert SGPA to equivalent percentage using: Percentage (%) = SGPA × 9.5. For AICTE engineering programs: Percentage (%) = (SGPA - 0.75) × 10.
