Delhi Police Driver Recruitment 2025 - Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria to be considered for the Delhi Police Constable 2025 recruitment:

1) Nationality/ Citizenship

Candidates must be Indian citizens.

2) Education Qualification

Applicants must have passed the 10+2 (Senior Secondary) examination or equivalent from a recognized board by the application closing date.

Educational relaxation (up to 11th pass) applies to:

i) Serving bandsmen, buglers, mounted constables, drivers, and dispatch riders of the Delhi Police.

ii) Sons of serving, retired, or deceased police personnel, including Multi-Tasking Staff of the Delhi Police.

3) Age limit (as on 01/07/2025)

The age limit for applicants is 21 to 30 years, with a birth date between 02-07-1995 and 01-07-2004. Upper age limit relaxations apply as follows:

(i) Up to 5 years for SC/ST category candidates.

(ii) Up to 3 years for OBC category candidates.

iii) Up to 5 years for meritorious sports persons who have represented their state or country in the last three years.

iv) Departmental candidates of Delhi Police may avail age relaxation up to 40 years (General), 43 years (OBC), and 45 years (SC/ST).

v) Sons of serving, retired, or deceased police personnel/Multi-Tasking Staff of Delhi Police are eligible for age relaxation up to 29 years.

4) Essential Requirement

a) Candidates must possess heavy vehicle driving skills.

b) A valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) driving license is mandatory.

c) Proficiency in basic vehicle maintenance is required.

Delhi Police Driver Recruitment 2025 Salary

The basic salary for the post follows the Level 4 pay scale (Rs. 5200 – 20200 with Grade Pay 4000) as per the 7th Pay Commission. Additional benefits include Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Traveling Allowance (TA), and ration pay.
