Delhi Police Recruitment 2025- Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the SSC Delhi Police Constable 2025 Exam, candidates must meet the following four essential criteria:
1) Nationality/ Citizenship
Candidates must possess Indian citizenship.
2) Education Qualification (as on 21/10/2025)
By the closing date for online application submissions, candidates must have successfully passed the 10+2 (Senior Secondary) examination from a recognized school board.
Educational qualification relaxation to 11th pass is applicable only for the following categories:-
i) Bandsmen, buglers, mounted constables, drivers, dispatch riders, etc., exclusively within the Delhi Police force.
ii) Sons of currently serving, deceased, or retired police personnel, including Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) of the Delhi Police.
3) Age limit (as on 01/07/2025)
Candidates must be between 18 and 25 years of age. Specifically, they should not have been born before July 2, 2000, and not later than July 1, 2007. The upper age limit can be relaxed in the following circumstances: -
(i) Up to a maximum of 5 years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories.
(ii) Up to a maximum of 3 years for candidates belonging to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category.
iii) Up to a maximum of 5 years for distinguished sportsmen who have represented a State at the national level or the country at the international level in sports within the three years preceding the closing date for online application submission.
iv) For departmental candidates of Delhi Police, the upper age limit relaxation is admissible up to 40 years for the General category (UR), 43 years for OBC, and 45 years for SC/ST candidates.
v) For the sons of serving, retired, or deceased police personnel/Multi-Tasking Staff of Delhi Police, the upper age limit relaxation is admissible up to 29 years.
4) Essential Requirement
Candidates applying for the Constable (Executive) Male post in Delhi Police must possess a valid driving license for LMV (Motorcycle or Car) as of the date of the Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE&MT). Learner's licenses are not accepted.

1. The Computer-Based Examination (CBE) will consist of a single objective-type paper with 100 questions, carrying a total of 100 marks. The duration for the online computer-based test is one and a half hours (90 minutes).
2. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
3. The question paper will be of Matriculation Level, with a distribution of 30% Easy questions, 50% Medium-level questions, and 20% Difficult questions.
4. Candidates in the General Category securing 35% marks, SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates securing 30% marks, and Ex-servicemen securing 25% marks in aggregate in the Computer-Based Examination will be considered eligible for shortlisting for the Physical Test, categorized accordingly.
