The selection process for the position of Haryana court clerk comprises an online written examination and a computer proficiency test (CPT). Candidates must qualify in both stages to be considered for the final recruitment.

HC Clerk Online Written Examination (CBT) Pattern

The examination will cover two primary sections with a total allotted time of 2 hours.

• General Knowledge (Objective): 50 questions carrying 50 marks.
• English Composition: Total of 50 Marks.
  Objective portion: 50 questions carrying 20 marks.
  Subjective portion (to be typed on screen): 30 Marks.
• This includes an essay of 150 words (10 marks), letter writing (5 marks), précis writing (5 marks), and translation from Hindi to English (10 marks).

Negative Marking: A penalty of 0.25 marks (1/4th) will be deducted for every incorrect objective-type answer.

Qualifying Criteria: Candidates are required to secure at least 33% marks in each subject individually, alongside an aggregate of 40% to pass the written exam stage.
